Terms & Conditions for Authors – Unnati Publications
1. Manuscript Submission & Evaluation
- By submitting your manuscript, you confirm that the work is original and authored by you.
- All submissions undergo a review by our Publication Committee. Unnati Publications reserves the right to accept or reject any manuscript based on quality, content guidelines, or market viability.
- The evaluation process time may vary, and the committee’s decision will be final.
2. Copyright & Ownership
- The Author retains the primary copyright of the literary content.
- By entering into a publishing agreement, the Author grants Unnati Publications the exclusive/non-exclusive right (as per the specific plan) to print, publish, and distribute the work in physical and digital formats globally.
3. Publication Process
- Once a manuscript is approved, Unnati Publications strives to provide high-quality editing, professional cover design, and interior formatting to ensure the book is attractive and market-ready.
- The Author will be provided with a digital proof for review. Final printing/publishing will proceed only after the Author’s written approval of the proof.
4. Author’s Warranty
- The Author warrants that the manuscript does not contain any libelous, defamatory, or unlawful material.
- The Author guarantees that the work does not infringe upon any existing copyright or trademark. Unnati Publications will not be held liable for any legal disputes arising from plagiarism or copyright infringement by the Author.
5. Distribution & Online Platforms
- Unnati Publications will make reasonable efforts to list and sell the book on major online platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, and our official website).
- Inventory management and shipping for online orders will be handled by the publisher as per the selected publishing package.
6. Royalties & Payments
- Royalties will be paid to the Author based on the net profit/sale price of the book as defined in the individual Author Agreement.
- Payout cycles (monthly/quarterly) and reporting will be transparently shared with the Author through their registered dashboard or email.
7. Marketing & Promotion
- While Unnati Publications assists in the basic listing, extensive marketing (Ads, Book Launches, Social Media Campaigns) depends on the specific service package chosen by the Author.
8. Termination
- Either party may terminate the agreement with prior written notice (usually 30–90 days). Upon termination, distribution rights will revert to the Author after any outstanding dues or stock settlements are cleared.
9. Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any legal disputes or claims shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi only.
